Well I made another trip to Best Buy today and raised almighty hell. I accused them of giving me the same phone I sent off before. Of all the problems you can have with a cell phone, what are the odds that the replacement phone would have the same microphone problem? They are supposedly sending this one off somewhere and getting me another "refurbished" one. We'll see. I think I'm gonna upgrade to the Samsung.

Why would they give you a refurbished one instead of giving you a new one?

That's their policy. I've learned my lesson with Best Buy.

I would throw a fit....you bought a brand new phone....they ought to replace it with a brand new phone not a patched up one that somebody else had problems with. That just ain't right.

That happened to me also. Upgraded to a Samsung Convoy and it crapped out in 2 weeks. I had cut the box up to send the UPC label for the rebate offer. Becasue I did not have the box the only way they would replace it was via their repair service with a refurbished one. Boy was my blood boiling. Here I was out $150 for a regualr flip phone and now 2 weeks into it I was getting a refubished one. Came real close to flushing the service but that is the first problem I've had with them in the 12 years I had their service. It was Verizon by the way.
I did not want a smart phone or I could have been upgraded for free. but then my monthly plan cost would have gone up. Can't win. Life was simpler when we had one black dial phone in our house on an 8 party line.
