Why would they give you a refurbished one instead of giving you a new one?

That happened to me also. Upgraded to a Samsung Convoy and it crapped out in 2 weeks. I had cut the box up to send the UPC label for the rebate offer. Becasue I did not have the box the only way they would replace it was via their repair service with a refurbished one. Boy was my blood boiling. Here I was out $150 for a regualr flip phone and now 2 weeks into it I was getting a refubished one. Came real close to flushing the service but that is the first problem I've had with them in the 12 years I had their service. It was Verizon by the way.Quote:
