If you can get a new one for 1600 jump on it, ford tranny's are a pain, have had 2 built in these diesels and both had to go back to the shop and be gone thru again. Pulling it aint a prob or putting it back either, if you decide to go that way I got the jack you need and the plate to hold the tranny. If it has an E4OD in it run for the hills.

That should be E4OD in that truck. Bad about breaking input shaft. Gonna need more than a few tools to work on one.

Bad about the holes in the case stopping up too, one inparticular and causes em to burn up. Last one I had built I got a core out of a wreck and had it built and they still had to go back in it.

not yet--talked to the detective today--he gave me the normal line--then I said SO i should be looking for a new vehicle and he said yes
well we will see but I can't sit around too long without something--were down to one vehicle now and the wifey has lots of appointments and I still have to go into work (most of the time) and just have to have something to pull the boat

tks for that. If I rebuilt I wouldn't worry about any of that--I have a tendency to buy something and rebuild it anyway--but it It would be nice not to have to worry in the first place

I could fix that problem I think--had similar problems on my dirt track trannys back in the day.
