    Default transmission overhaul tools

might have found a truck that might be worth getting but it needs transmission fixed.
anyone around here have the tools? I can do the work just don't have the tools anymore.

there are a couple of tools-a spring compressor thing and a couple other special ones-can't remember exactly--but 400 bucks is alot cheaper than 1600.
gonna try to take a look at the truck this weekend to see if it will be worth it-probably won't be that lucky.

yep that's what Ill have to determine--rebuilding the motor aint nuttn to it either--even if I had to do that too (which I would rather anyway) id still be way ahead considering. my guess on the trans at the moment is that somebody has pulled too much weight and burnt it up--just a quess. My worry would be if it has a busted gear or broke shaft--if that was the case--I would just buy a new trans for 1600 buck--hopefully I can take a look at it this weekend.
