It weighed 46#. We actually didn't catch it on a pole. Someone had hooked him in the gills and it was swimming around on its side about dead so we netted it and carried it to a guy that I know that eats them. He said it was good. I will take his word for it.

There are some decent crappie there but you must weed through the small ones. Larger jigs seem to help get the bigger fish. Winter time is the best time. Fish the main lake creek. Largest crappie we caught there was 2.75 #. Got 7 over 2 pounds one time. Here is a few got on a average trip.![]()

Yep.....The best crappie are along each side of the creek run on the water ski part of the lake........the dinks seem to be over on the fishing side. Have caught some good ones around the spillway structure too.

G is right about the bream fishing at the trace. Here is a pic from July 2012 caught along the main lake levee. Even got 1 crappie on a cricket.![]()
