I failed to add the offer is sure appreciated, but nothin' comes close to spending time with dad

GDG, how far are you from here (Sardis), and you guys got any COE Campgrounds close? I'm here for 2 more weeks, then I gotta move (maxed-out time).

I just looked, you're talking about Alabama? If I had the right spot, it's close to a couple hundred miles and another non-resident fishing license. Probably just a bit more than I should spend right now, especially being so late in the year (for me, as far as before heading back North). After these next 2 weeks are up, I figure I'll stick-around (somewhere) about another month, then start thinking about heading North.

Well, I'm kind of looking at the map as I'm typing. Granted, I'll be headed somewhat east when I head North, so it's not like it's 100% out of the way, just about 100 miles further South. Fuel (200 mile round-trip roughly to get me back due East of here) and License would put me in the $200 cost range. Let me do some head-scratchin' and see if I can swing it. I won't say it's out of the question right now.

Yeah...but they's gators in Alabama, and I don't plan on bein' a snack for one of 'em Besides, my Kayak will be gone when I leave here (got it promised to someone) since I've got to do something different to get on the water next year.

I understand bout the budget maybe next year u can put it in your plans.
