I'll make sure and bring some of these snagged slabs to camp and see which one of y'all can tell which one was hooked in the mouth or body. :thumbsup

OK, Rees. When I was a boy, I used to wear the crappie out on a pink jig in the mouth of Potacocowa creek, right where it emptied into the Yalobusha (behind Willow Run Gin on Hwy. 7). We would throw a couple of bobbers out into the eddy right behind the old sand bar and catch a bucket full of crappie when the river was high. (Seems like it was always late spring early summer) Used to catch a good many green carp on plastic worms in the same place.

I watched a video Of Carl Graham and a bud snaggin the heck out of crappie at Sardis spillway and from the look on their faces, I think they were havin fun!I saw a dude at Butla spillway 2 years ago catching crappie singlepoling a jig in close to the bank. He was having fun from the look on his face! Both technics provided fun and enjoyment and that's why I like to do both! And they both catch fish.Drifting jigs or minnows under a cork ain't bad either! JMO!

Right after Carl Graham's snagging segment on Mid-South outdoors aired....the show was cancelled! I was one of the many that sent emails letting them know I wouldn't watch again.

Mid- South Outdoors was cancelled right after you sent them a e-mail! Seem like I watched that show for quite a while after that on Channel 3 News with Joe LarkinCarl Graham and Ron Wong were very famous folks in this area. Carl Graham founded Hog Rustler Lure Co.I still see him fishing on TV from time to time!
