Nm, is it hard to break camp for you and go exchange your freezer? Just curious what all is involved. Never had a bus before, so just wondering. I'm pretty sure I would have to wait in line myself to get a delivery of a new appliance even though I live 5 miles from the store even if it was an exchange. Have you considered the fact that they will probably have $200 or more tied up in fuel, milage, driver, etc just to exchange a $200 freezer?

Did you get you a Straight Talk at Walmart. That's what I have, just can't up size pictures to email.

Now he bought that freezer knowing it would work, being new in the box. This shows that costumer service is for in store only. It's a good 50 miles to the store from where he's at. I wouldn't break camp for that move. He's headed back to Sardis in a few days, it can wait.
I live 3 miles from the Southaven Walmart Mall area. I have a few things that need to be returned. If I'm not at that store, it can wait.

That's why I always try and stop to re-supply between stops. Unless I look on the internet before-hand to see what's local. Before I headed to Grenada, I knew I wanted to catch my laundry up, and looked at a satellite view of the parking lot just to be sure once I pulled-in I had room to get out.

Not a big deal to move since I don't unwind awnings, or unload a bunch of stuff (chairs, grille, etc.). Pretty much all I do is connect to water and electric, then set a few things back out in the bus I have to secure for travel (coffee pot, TV, etc). It was more the 6mpg @ $4/gal that I didn't want to add to the cost of a freezer ($50). I don't even plan to be here on the 17th, so that wasn't even in the picture, I'll be going right past the store sometime next week (at no additional cost to me since I was planning to return to Sardis anyway). In the meantime I had a dozen fish I wanted to freeze. I'd have had to eat what I could, or give them away.

Sure I considered it, but sometimes in business you have to eat a bit of profit now and then to keep a customer happy. It usually pays in the long run, so it's not necessarily a loss, it PR and building Customer Relation. All they did was reaffirm why I don't shop there, and sealed the deal of why I'll not again, had they made it a point to see to it I was taken care of, I'd have changed my mind. They are the ones who sold me a junk freezer, it's their place to make it right, shouldn't cost me a dime more than the initial cost of the freezer. Doubt it'd have cost them anywhere near $200. 80 mile round trip, 2 hours pay, say $25, 4 gallons of fuel for a pick-up truck (at 20mpg)= $12, well under $50, which is a small cost for a company like Lowes to ensure customer satisfaction. Besides, they deliver anyway, so it wasn't going to be an additional cost out of their pocket, they could have taken care of me sooner, they were basically telling me to return it myself, I wasn't worth them fooling with. I'm over it, got a working freezer, that's all I wanted to begin with, now all I want is the junk one off my trailer and my money back. Then Lowes will have satisfied me and I'll be done with 'em.

Didn't get a phone cb, I learned I need a CDMA TracFone, and not the GSM (which I have). The CDMA will put me on Verizon as the Carrier whereas the GSM has me on AT&T. I just need to find a CDMA phone, which generally aren't sold in areas with GSM coverage (because AT&T gives TracFone a cheaper rate, but cost to me is the same regardless). So I may have to order one off the internet. If I do, I'll just wait until I return to Sardis to be sure I'll be in one spot long enough for it to be delivered. Whatever I do I need to be sure I have coverage back in "that State" I came from, as well as here, and Verizon is the answer.
