    I've got one that came with my turkey fryer, you take it in and out of the grease with it.

    For fishing maybe to pull up wire traps or run trotlines??
    It's all over but the fryin'......

    It does look like that, but this one is a lot smaller. Not much larger than a coat hanger, which won't work, too light..

    I had one similiar I made to take hooks out of a fish caught on a trot line. Also can remove treble hooks from a fish without worryin bout gettin it in your hand.
