Browning bibs, parka and Lacrosse alpha burly 1600 boots. full face mask, glomitts and MTP base layer. Layers are best because you can add or remove depending on the weather. I have duck hunted in the cold weather for years and this is my usual attire. if water is rough, wear a Stearns insulated floatcoat. Duck hunting requires 5mm Lacrosse Brush tuff II chest waders for bottom woods hunting or for the coldest days for sure.

Just keep in mind that our thinking of cold here is no where near as cold as up north.

I have 2 Arctic armor suits & couldn't ask for more. They will float you being I tried them summer of 2011. I'm 260 and I was pleased the way they keep you up. Have been reading reviews on the Striker Ice and most say they prefer over the AA because they breathe better and have good flotation also. I am going to get one of the Striker Ice 3 way jackets being it's lined and you can use when it's only cool. I'm attaching website where they have a good sale on Arctic Armor. I don't either would be a bad purchase. My usual cold weather is the AA, Lacrosse boots and a save Phase mask. Good thing about AA is not much layering is needed, usually just long johns & long sleeve shirt. Never got cold yet.

I have fished on days when it was 8-9 degrees. Just as cold as up north but doesn't last as long.

Feelay I took this pic the day I saw you and Jeepster fishing the Dam when the high for the day was 8 degrees. This formed in the time that it took to go get my truck.

I never said that our temps dont dip low at some points. But as a norm our average temps are above freezing. For a man on a budget like myself, I can only afford to prepare for the normal temps. Might have to sit out a few days of single digits.
