I don't use any loops. Imagine you were tyin a swivel on a line. The little piece you normally bite off, make it about 8" and tie a hook on there. You makin this way more difficult than its has to be. I thought you said you were only gonna use cranks?

Go buy you some c&c rigs and then copy them. Mine are jus like theirs except they use a three way swivel and two pieces of line.

DD, I have used the pinch on split shot, but get tired of em sliding down the line. That's why I use a snap swivel on the main line. I got several different sizes Pre tied.

And WB you're a gewber no matter what ya use.

Not too good to learn, still gonna use the cranks for sure but with 100 boats on the water this weekend I am headed to waters that arent very freindly for cranks, may not be freindly for double rigs either but that is where I will start. Picked up a pound of minner yesterdaya dn gonna give em a whirl. Not feshing the tourney unless I stumble accross something the next few days that makes me want to. More profittable to sell cords than fish in the tourney anyways.

I do know this, if you pay retail for the weights and stuff you can put a little change in each rig. We lost more rigs Saturday than I lost cranks all year last year, dont see where pushing minners is any cheaper than pulling cranks, specially ifn you pushing jigs or minner critters or gnats with em.

I have some gnats gonna try them after a while.

You might have 30 cents in a rig with just hooks on it. Maybe 75 if using two jig heads. But you'll learn how to get em unhung with practice. We fished a tourney a couple of years ago where we broke off over 50 rigs, but we had em Pre tied and we caught over a hunnert keeper fish and no tellin how many dinks.

Another trick I've learned is that I use heavier line on my rigs. That way the upper line don't wrap and get tangled cause it's stiffer.
