Thanks Meat...I fished with HandiCrappie yesterday and he has the Ozark rods and they are really nice but at $50+ per rod it is a bit much for me to chew on...

and check here on the pricing: Monk's Crappie :: MonksCrappie.com :: B 'n' M Pro Staff Trolling Rod
set of 6 works out to $40 each for some darn good poles. If you call him he may be able to do better on a set of 8 and some reels too.

yep--when I went into it I went for it--got 6 c&c 14ft rods $45 bucks a peice but I knew I wanted to spider rig period and I have been pleased for sure. I saved on the reels--took them off of my drifting rods (aka bass rods) and haven't looked back. I basically went from catching zero fish this year to immediately catching strictly due to getting set up for spider rigging. I think you will like it.

I use the BnM slow troll rods 16.5 foot. When I bought them, they were $12. per rod at Sportsmans. I have a few other brands that were $20 each. If fishing 12 foot deep, I can lift the fish into the boat. I don't reel the catch in, I keep the line set. I found some on craigslist with a cheap reel for $17. each
