Default Asian Carp - Eating It

I didn't make this up. They're all over the internet.

ILLINOIS SPOTLIGHT: Asian carp have clean taste, bad image

The state of Louisiana even had a contest amoung respected chefs to come up with a new name for it that would sound more tasty.

Not likely any time soon. I do however appreciate your trust in my opinion on fish tasting.

Don't know about the silver carp or the bighead carp. But I can tell you that White Amur(grass carp) are good eating if fixed right. Worked on a fish farm in the 90s that raised grass carp. Every spring the owner would take one of about 20# to a Little Rock asian chef who prepared it. Right tasty. White flesh and no bones.

Maybe the newbie Blackcrappie_X can tell us how he fixes um. He stated in an earlier thread that he has eaten them before. I'll try to eat ALMOST anything once.

    Carp Recipe

1 large carp, filleted and cleaned well.
Season with Tonys, lemon pepper and dash of sea salt.
1 piece of hickory sawed half into so one side is nice and flat.
Place the carp fillet on the hickory and put on hot grill.
Cook 10 to 12 minutes or until fillet is flakey.
Take off the grill, throw the carp in the garbage and EAT THE HICKORY SLAB!!!!!
