Met both big h and jigflinger on the same day. Jigflinger bought the old ranger fishing seat and big h stopped by after running his his motor after a repair. Both are great people. I think I had only been on c.com for two months (I think my memory is bad and I'm tired)

Well, speck was the first I met at the camp and i have to say a very good friend was made. Stan, Ted, John, James, Patrick, Jeff and so many others I couldn't possible name everyone!!! I now take a few vacation days around every crappie camp.

I tell every crappie fisherman I ever meet about crappie.com and encourage them to join and partake in the fellowship of crappie camps. I'm really looking forward to seeing you all at camp in a few months!!!

Interesting thing; Patrick and I put together the very first fruit jar. We had it at Sardis and weighed and cooked fish under my awning in the pouring rain. No bickering, no arguing just great fellowship. Entry fee was $5 a person for the seven fish pot and a bandit lure for the big fish pot. I'd fish that again any day!!!!

First I met was at Spring camp at Enid. I was at the ramp and a big ol guy came in and loaded his boat up. I said .....are you Slabo? and it was. He called himself Slaboligist then but the next day we officially changed his name to Slabo. The next person was Don Don and Nessa.....they were all very friendly and made me feel welcome.....then I met Satdoc and torch, then Wannabe, and before the afternoon was up I had met about 35 members. I remember Yikess and Speck sat down across the table from me when we ate and I had a good chat with them. I looked up and saw a guy with long hair and a Army Calvary hat come walking up and it was billbob. Anyway it was a great cook out and good company and I have been to every camp cookout since then.....we really do have some good folks on here.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I had just bought my old 16' Tracker with the 25hp 2-stroke, put in the Rez at Tommy's. Came in from fishing and found a flyer on my windshield touting EZ Poleholder rod holders. I sat on that flyer for about two months, reading C.C, and trying to figure out how to fish for white perch with more that one pole. So, after that two months I was going home from Tommy's and called the number on the flyer. The guy that answered, EZ, was so energized about fishing and his produce that I drove straight to his house. He made a few measurements & said to come back tomorrow. I paid him his asking price in advance and the rest is history. I made a great friend that day and have appreciated all he has done for me, educating me on fishing stuff and hunting stuff. Thanks Gene.
