I've met a bunch of y'all gewbers at a buffay and I've paid fer a lot of em. Pffffft, but the first was WB that I ever met in real live person. Boy he took me to the cleaners. Before I'd left he'd made me buy lunch and even pilfered through my truck and tackle box. The first gewber I ever talked to was A Yankee from Kentucky, Joey Briggs.

SteveJ was the first C.com member I met. He has been a very good friend and a blessing in my life. His knowledge of our home lake and his willingness to share his knowledge has made me love this sport of crappie fishing. Since joining C.com I've made some really great friends and learned a lot from a lot of folks.

My first contact here was with pstone. Never fished nader from a boat, we were to fish it together with my son. But a last minute call. He couldn't go and we never met. Next contact was with crappietime. I was wanting to learn Priest Lake. We had 3 outings on the lake. They in their boat, we in ours. Fall camp at Paris Landing. We met crappiestalker and his family. The weather was nasty, we didn't fish. I think this was the first meeting with billbob.
BigBlue in which I have known for 20 years took me to Sardis camp and we went to Slabo's cabin to have a beverage.Nice the first day I met him and just as nice two months ago.
I found the website while searching on the Internet, posted on the newbie thread and if I remember right wannabe replied first. But the first person I met was Yikes, I saw him fishing at sardis pulling cranks and I was needing advice. We talked at the ramp and later realize we went to school together a year apart. Since then I have met a bunch of great people on here and hope to make more new friends. This site has definitely made me a better fisherman.
Cane Pole was the first one we met and I can't believe it was 7 years ago. Paul had been checking out crappie.com back before the first version shut down and Ed changed to the new one and he finally registered as a member. Well, I was checking out the site and kept wanting to say stuff myself, so I just registered on my own. We were trying to get ready for a local Elks tournament and got in touch with CP to ask for a little help. I'll never forget it because he asked if we had a gps (which we did) and then proceeded to send us a file with over 500 waypoints. Paul just knew he'd made a mistake and didn't mean to send that many. When he asked Tom about it, he said, nope, no mistake, I've got so many I'll never be able to fish em all. After the tournament we hunted him down at the lake so we could meet in person and show our thanks. I'm proud to say we've been friends ever since.

Yes, I fish like a girl. If you tried a little harder, you could too!!
My first encounter with a member was Minner. We spent the better part of a day on Columbus , had some fun, but didn't get many fishes. The second member I met was Mr. Jim at our first get-together in Sardis. What a guy. Gave me some home made wine. I met so many good people at that get-together that I left there with my head spinning. Too many to name. You know who you are. God Bless all of you.
