We run 10 fuel trucks every day. We have not had a problem with em and they run about 2500 miles a week. Ultra low sulfur diesel not doubt has far less lubricity in it, which in turn is probably harder on the motor. Some kind of oil will help with lubing motors.

don't do that,you can't filter out enough of the carbon residue. On the newer engines the tolerances on pumps and injectors are to tight and that slight bit of carbon will ruin them. Marvel Mystery oil, power steering fluid, outboard oil works well. Which ever you can find cheaper. For pickups about 6 oz to the tank.

I have yet to hear from pork chop aka BigH but I am the one that said that and I have been doing it for a few years with nothing but good things to say about it. I was told about it from my buddy who has been a diesel mechanic for 20+ years.

Also know Cummings says to put 1.75 gallons of used motor oil per 30 gallon tank on there big generators.

I use a 1 oz per gallon mix with 2stroke oil and it gives about 128:1 mix witch is a good ratio for road trucks to keep them from smoking and smelling like a 2stroke diesel.

So 16 oz per tank with my dual tanks on my Ford should it. Will start this on the next fill up. I am sure I could use some injectors but I do run that good diesel additive once a month and it helps. Getting 14 or 15 now and am curious to see how much difference it makes. 14 is on these hot days when I have alot of running around to do in and out of the truck, motor dont shut off and the AC keeps on blowing until it gets back in the driveway.

Well, filled up today after running my first dose of added oil. Been getting 14 to 15 so 14.5 average I guess. Todays fill up I got 16.5. Not using high dollar oil, just the Wally World 2 stroke out of the gallon jug at about 10 cents an ounce. Filled up a little while ago for 3.35 a gallon which, sad to say, is the cheapest I have bought diesel in a very long time.

Thanks for the update, was wondering.

Now if I can find someone to fix the leak on the back of the heads where the return fuel lines are I will be in business. Does crank easier seems like.
