He was talkin about the holders themselves. I been thinkin bout it and I cannot come up with a way. I thought maybe mounted on a pivot with a counterweight to keep them level, but that wouldnt do anything for the side rock.

OK Wilbur, this is actually a 2 part system. First part has to do with slowing the rock and roll of the boat. The next part is in the rod holders themselves. I'm having a time testing because of the calm days but I can get in the main lake at Bay Springs on the weekends and get plenty choppy water. I made a couple videos today that you might be able to see a difference in the boat with and without the stability device deployed. I'm starting very small but I can already tell a difference in the boat movements.
I would like to see the Video, Oh by the way how is your trolling motor coming a long, That thing is really sweet. Congrats.

video on the left is without the device, on the right is where I deployed it, videos shot seconds apart and actually in the second video you can see waves from a boat going by. test
I just have a rod holder I made with a single rod set up in the videos.
I'm changing boards on my autopilot, I need more memory than the first one has, but just for pulling cranks it will do just fine, I'm never happy with anything, gotta be tinkering with something!
Pretty cool Good luck
