    All my poles are the same length so I can make my outside pole the inside pole and always cast to the outside. I like keeping things simple an consistent.

    I always cast my outside rods also. I can usually chuck it 85 feet or so and it cuts down on the time lost letting line out. My inside and middle rods I will stick in the rod holder and freespool them due to the higher risk for tangling. The Okumas have a spool tension control knob that helps with the backlashes but it isn't magnetically controlled or anything so don't get your hopes up. It's all in the thumb.
