Got the Cucumbers and also the red onions from our good friend on the hill. Boiled some vinegar and sugar with a little oil, seasoned with some salt black pepper and celery seed then pour it on them and let set for a day or two.

How much vinegar and sugar?Are you sealing the jars?
This is for one quart so if you do 2 quarts double it 3 triple it and so on. Dont usually do over 2 or 3 at a time tho cuz they arent really sealed so keep them in fridge and they will be ok for a long time. They are fine rite outta the jar or to eat with vegetables they are fine. Pack your quart jar with a layer or two of cucumbers they a layer or 2 of onions then cucs them onions till the jar is full.
1 cup white vinegar
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 to 1/2 cup cooking oil
1 teaspoon celery seed
1tsp salt
1tsp black pepper
1 pod hot pepper {optional}
Put all this in a boiler and bring to a slow roll let boil for about one or two minutes then just pour it over the stuff untill the jar is full. Let set for about 20 minutes they will settle down in the jar a bit , but a few more cucumbers up to fill the jar and just screw a regular lid in them. Let set for a 24 hours and enjoy. Longer they set the better they get.
