    Default Sports brella

I purchased a xl sports brella and was hoping to just insert it in my middle pedestal (have 3 pedestals up front). It doesn't quite fit and was wondering what others might have had this problem and how you fixed it. It will work great if I can get it down in the pedestal a little further.

You gotta sand all the paint off.

I just happened to have a 3/4 reamer ran it through the bushings and it fit perfect. That stem is just a tiny bit larger than 3/4. A drill bit that size would work also.

If you take the center slide part out, one end is pointed and that is what I put in the seat post holes and tie the flaps down to the boat railings.

I think as long as you've got it tied down, you won't have to worry about it. I love my Sportbrella.

Take the center slide out and turn it around........put the pointed end up in the other tube. The opposite end of the pointed shaft is necked down for several inches and it will fit right in a 3/4 seat base.
