    That's the very reason I use Tite Lok myself. I sell a ton of Hi Teks, and I really like em for spider riggin, but I like the Tite Lok for the versatility. JMHO

    Maybe you got the older ones. I had mine pointed down to the water and back at a 30 degree angle and havent had a problem, of course the craps up here arent nearly as big.

    I pull out the back....out the sides....never had a problem with my HiTeks and mine are the older ones. I put some l brackets on like Scott but they are really not needed.

    I've got the angle brackets on the holders that would be pulling to the side. On the holders next to the engine, I just have the rod angled up.
