+1 on 10-12 HiViz main line & floro tags 6-8. I like the Vicious panfish hiviz & Trilene floro.

-1 on the CnC but that's just me.

Here is what BnM PST 14' w/10 lbs Vicious, 6 lbs Trilene can do with a minnow rig:

Pretty sure you will be able to handle those freak of nature size crappie over there!

The Capps & Coleman's aren't intended to catch 20# slimers. I think it boils down to if you want to land the occasional slimer or the many light biters.

I have always had a problem with light bites--I only catch when they hammer it--so I miss a ton of fish. But since WB suggested--will go with the PST's to save a little bit of cash

That affliction usually is associated with NOT PAYING ATTENTION, or poor eyesight.
I fished the PST's for many years, they are good all around poles.

My point on the slimer was the 6lbs test tag on 10lbs main line with the 14' PST. PST have plenty of sensitivity in the tips to see a bite light or not. The PST also has plenty of give in it to allow that slimer to be landed on such light line. I plan to land every fish that bites and not break off wondering what it was. Operator error will be the only option I leave in the equation. That slimer didn't hit hard at all. It only showed out after it figured out it was hooked.
