    Default Might be beating a dead horse


    but is there much difference in spider rigging with 12ft vs 14ft poles? Will the longer pole mean more fish--ie less spook or would it be minimal?

    It gets you a little further from the boat. I used 12 ft. poles at first.....just thought the others were too long, but I finally gave in and went to 14 ft. poles. Don't really know that it made that much difference but hey......you got to have a reason to get new fishing stuff every now and then.
