All gewberisms and bs aside, if you are on a budget and will be fishing multiple ways in the future (push'n, pull'n cranks or jigs, or single pole'n) the BnM PST 14's are the way to go. You get the best mix for all those applications. If you don't like them, I am sure you can sell them to some folks over here in GA pretty darn quick. Here is a link that will get you going: Monk's Crappie :: MonksCrappie.com :: Online Store . That's $40 @ ($240 for 6 poles). You might find a better deal, but I haven't. He is on Crappie.com too. I have 8 now and do all of the above with them with bait casters, line counters, and open face reels. I have switched out from one method to the other in the same trip and only took a few minutes. I am on a budget and it isn't the size of Wannabe's either. Just something to think on and no this is not a paid advertisement. Simply experience.

Thanks--I appreciate the voice of exp. Along with all the other folks.

Well the only exp I have is not catching fish and running aground lately. I have jig pole and CB set up--but just intend to spider rig with this set up. I've got Monks site on my bookmarks already along with a few others--just not convinced yet exactly what I want to go with. What I do know--I can slap some heads with 14fters (ask Big H) 16fter is 2ft shorter than my boat and 3.5times longer than me, I am a cheap btrd (just ask my wife)

Iffen ya really cheap, I picks up a pair of pinnacle rods in 12' to complete my spread for long lining and the dang things are perfect action for it. Good bit stiffer than Capps and Coleman but a lot less Than psts. For a fella on a budget, theyd do right nice for spider rigging and could double for long lining and pulling a crank as well. Only thing I don't think they'd handle is pushing cranks with weights.

Can't say about the durability on em yet but they do feel well made and have a goo action. Can't remember the series...vertex I think. Not the limit series.

    Wannabe...
    Wannabe...v2.0
A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
