    Fer a quick temporary fix duck, you can take a punch or nail set and swell the inside of the bushing. Just put your punch right around the edge of the hole and whack it all around the edge. Most of the time they're gonna wear out at the top. This will work better than wrapping duct tape or electrical tape around the post because it is prolly not worn as much in the bottom.

    Duck, can you knock it out without removing the base??

    they may also be fastened in with machine screws and nuts also meaning you have to get to the nuts on the bottom side....on the aluminum boats they are usually just screwed in .....Wannabe should be able to advise you as he has worked on the bases on several different boats.

    Neat, I didn't know the bases had replaceable bushings.

    g, i think in this case, will have to get to the nut underneath.
