Hey guys, if anybody needs to replace a base be sure to check out Springfield marine web site, scratch and dent section. I ordered several styles to have here to check out the fit of my Dub-L-Seats. I ain't found anything wrong with them except may a scratch here or there and saved a small fortune on them, as in $6. each total cost!

Ifn you can wack it out with a punch and wackum you ought to be able to pull it out with a puller.
If you have a slide hammer type puller you can snatch it right out. You can also wrap black tape around the end of a hack saw blade for a handle and then cut though the bushing full length on each side and then pull the bushing ut with some pliers or you can knock it on out into the bilge the new bushing goes in from the top side.

If you try the hacksaw blade trick...make sure you only cut yhrough the bushing and not into the steel sleeve that the bushing fits into. The bushing is about two and a half inches long....maybe two and thre quarters.
