The rubber tape works just like the rubber gloves you stick your hands in when sand blasting. The media bounces off the rubber tape. Protecting surfaces you cover with the tape. Don't hold the nozzle on spots you cover with the tape.

Springs, spring hardware, bearings, and seals on order. Bill's got my bunk material (i got to go get it) I need to go to lowes and get 2x4 to make bunks. Would you use pressure treated or cypress .....??? And where do you get stainless steel staples???

I would use cypress if I could get it....the chemicals in pressure treated lumber can eat aluminum up .....Most around here just use plain untreated 2x4's. You could use galvanized roofing nails instead of staples.
