transporting your rods
I know several of us have transport racks on our boats for carrying our rods. I have noticed that most if not all of us choose to carry them with the butt end facing the front of the boat and the tip end toward the rear of the boat. I was wondering if anybody has tried to alternate which end is at the front of the boat. In other words, bottam layer of rods has the butt end toward the front, the next layer has the tip end towards the front, and so on. I was playing around with my rack this weekend and tried this while it was just sitting in the shop and it made getting the rods out a whole lot easier when you are trying to carry your whole arsenal of rods. I guess part of what I'm asking is, does it hurt the rods to have the tip pointing in to the wind going down the road or lake.
