This is best when using fresh maters from the garden if you do this make sure they are peeled and seeded. Are you sure your from MISSISSIPPI? I just can't comprehend living here and never hearing of mater gravey
I ain't never heard of it either but bein from Florida, I got an excuse. Sounds good tho...what do ya put it on?

I'm from Tennessee, but have lived here off and on for 20 years. And have never heard of tomato gravy. I'm going to have to try it now even though maters are on my no no list.

Two things I've noticed about this forum. 1. If there is anything about food posted, it is from Mississippi. 2. It is downright rightous soul food. Tomato gravy and cathead biscuits. Lawd-a-mercy!!!

I walked\jogged 5 miles today + spent an hour in the gym just to keep from looking like the michelin man with all this southern culture i've consumed this weekend.
