    Yep, being raised half cajun I've eaten more than one piece of gar. They like to call them gar balls, never could bring myself to admit I was eating gar balls so I always called it fish. However, cold it about made me heave!!!

    I heard you cook Gar on a cypress plank, and when the fish is done, you eat the plank!!!!
