MS Slab, I am planning on beginning to fish more in the comming months. I have been retired several years but, the last 2 i have been helping out my son and a few old friends with their profession and have gotten away from being retired. I plan on fishing with MCC and crappie.com some, not sure how much. I had planned on fishing a few of the tournaments this past year. Due to my free time, i wanted to fish the Ross Barnett tournaments, but 4 trips there produced hardly any crappie for me. I do have a question, about some of the members of MCC. From all accounts MCC has a great thing going! Please don't take this question the wrong way. I see where there are several members being members of varoius pro staffs and i understand that MCC relies on sponsors for the most part. For the guys on the pro staff, i am sure they get perks. Is the perks shared with the club or pretty much dedicated to the pro staff members?

The three pole per person rule is just at Grenada, the rest of the Corps lakes allow five poles per person.

It's the Lake rules or the Tournament rules, whichever is fewer.

DTG, there are 2 different clubs in TN. They are West TN Crappie Club and Middle TN Crappie Club. Don't hold me to this but I believe the West club fishes KY Lake and others. Not sure about Middle TN. Look on Crappie Masters web site under clubs.

The wtcc is a new great organization but i am looking for a more competitive organization. We fish Masters and USA but they are scattered so much it's not feasible.

Me and my husband debated it, but we live in North MS, the majority of the tourneys are a 2 hour or more drive for us...which leads to more time of work, and more expenses for hotels, etc. I only saw 3 or 4 tourneys on last yrs trail that were close enough for us to stay at home for prefishing and the tourney. Then when you have a child you have the problem of finding a babysitter for the whole weekend because only 2 people are allowed in the boat. I guess c.c fj's are more laid back and family oriented. I kinda agree with WB, our son is only 7 so he's not ready to fish tourneys without help. Kinda hard for him to man a 12 ft pole at 4 1/2 ft tall, but when he does get old we would have to decide if he fishes or if I fish, and personally I love fishing the tourneys and don't want either of us to have to stay home. Just my two cents.
    Silly boys.........fishin' is for Girls!!!!!
