Spiderwoman, he's welcome in our boat anytime. Sometimes young ens get bored with their "parents" but would fish with someone else all day. Might try it next spring if he wants too, shoot he'd make a good net man and if'n we single poling he can handle a ten foot pole.

Thanks, Rees. We havent' had any time to fish since my Dad passed, but we did take him one weekend before that to Enid. We only caught one keeper, but we went through 7 dozen minnows in 3 hrs. I let him sit up front with Jacob and man my poles and I sat in the back and helped him get the fish in the boat. He had a blast and decided "crappie fishing was funner than bass fishing"...lol. So hopefully that put a good taste in his mouth. He had been a couple of times before and the bite had been very slow, and he was BORED. I'll warn ya though he'll talk your head off!!!

With 2 adults and one kid SW, you might try 4 poles on front with your Son/Husband and 2 on the back for FJs. I've done that a couple of times when both wanted to fish.....course, for me, it basically means that 2 poles get ignored, but with an adult on the back, ya'll could do it and everyone fishes.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Perzakly!!! When we have 3 in the boat at Enid, Sardis of Butla, we fish 6 off the front and 4 off the back. Usually the guy in the back catches as many or more than the two front guys.

A lot of times Deb would rather wait and come up to the FJ on Friday afternoons and I find myself fishing by myself. Next time, chunk him in the boat, I keep my nephew's lifejacket in the boat all the time.
