If you guys get too big....you will have to incorporate as a non-profit, get insurance and all that stuff....then you will have to raise entry fees, etc. kinda takes away from what you have now, a small casual group fishing for fun and bragging rights. Something for you guys to think about.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I like that K.I.S.S. I personally like things just the way they are. yeh, some want to make this some big fancy tourney with huge payouts but from what I see, the majority want it to stay just the way it is.. When it gets big, ALOT of the fun is out of it. Talk about stress in finding those 7 big fish.
I fished the MCC tourneys this year as well and to qualify for the Championship, I had to fish 7 of the tourneys, that's $630 just for registration. Add in another $100 to join, $250 for buying raffle tickets (yeh I was supposed to sell them but I don't feel comfortable doing that so I just bought them) Gas money for the truck and boat, Hotels, bait, meals and tackle and we spent a good bit over $2000 on tourneys. DO ya'll want to spend this much money? Simple, fairly cheap and fun is a good thing.
ATM, We have already done alot of that. I was elected last year as Lake Master and now we're gonna elect a tourney director. Just like this time, people were nominated and they everyone voted on who they wanted.

Our weigh-ins could be more organized and I'd like to see a leader board. But besides that, I like it the way it is.

I kinda like the way Torch, Sat, and WB tried to do it Saturday, call someone forward and them weigh their fish. That way everyone has their fish there ready to weigh in and everyone sees it as its happening. As far as a leader board I dont think that would be hard to pull off either.
