Members or fishermen should have the right to express their opinions and the committee should act accordingly. When I was president of MCC, I handed out a list of lakes on 1 side and dates on the other. Everyone got a list. Since we fished 9 tournaments, you had 9 X's to mark with. After they were turned in, I counted and tallied them up. The board took the results and figured out a schedule and it worked out pretty good. The bottom line was that everybody had a say in it.
Now Mr. Speck's comment. If you put C.C in the name, you must use it when registering a tournament. At this point, Crappie.Com becomes liable if something happens. Now if a name is agreed upon, Slab would be more than welcome to come up with a design for hats, shirts, etc and put C.C on them somewhere for advertising. Wearing a shirt with C.C doesn't make Slab liable for anything but having his name in the club name does. I ran into this a million times when I worked for my father in the beer business.
