Well.....maybe not now but they used to be and I got that information from a Snap On man. I was a ASE Certified Master Tech....39 years experiance before I retired. I have lots of tools all kinds and the Craftsman tools that I have are made in USA , of course they are older tools....I don't know about today as I stopped buying tools about 14 years ago.

Funny about the discussion on the tools. I started out buying harbor freight junk as when I got married I didn't own so much as a screw driver to my name. I've since graduated to Wal-Mart level stuff. One of these days I'm gonna go for the top shelf stuff - Lowes. LOL.

Acutally, I cleaned out my Dad's tool box a few weeks back and made a pile on my work bench. Guessing about 150 lbs worth. He was the worlds worst at keeping up with tools. There's no less than 6 different brands of wrenches and at least 5 different socket sets and not a complete set of anything even if you combined them all. Bet I've got 27 3/8" sockets. Bwahahahaha. Another thing that just screams my Dad is that when he needed something, he would just get what was handy. There's wrenches stamped made in China and some by Matco. The boy couldn't keep up with nuthin'. If he'd have been a mechanic by trade, I'll bet the Snap on and Matco truck guys would have given him a turkey and a ham for Christmas every year.

I bet the lil' be's would work cheaper than that and from the pics they are the ones that did the ackshual hands-on work. Big "B" just told 'em what to do. LOL

I know what you mean about Dads and tools, bro. My Dad had a hammer, a few screwdrivers and a few wrenches in EACH of these locations:

1. House/upstairs
2. House/basement
3. Garage tool bench
4. Tractor #1
5. Tractor #2
6. Tractor #3
7. Machine shed
8. Barn
9. Chicken house
10. Truck

I miss my Daddy, too. Today it's been a year.

On a lighter note, the lil' be's can be had for food or socks. And they can fit into small spaces whereas Big-B (Wannabe...) cannot! Looks like they got chooz this year for skewl!!!!!

My dad didn't have any tools, he had me instead. He couldn't screw in a light bulb but he sure could tell me how to do it. I still miss him telling me what to do.

Wish mine was still telling me what wrench to go get him too. Be 7 years next month. Still using some Craftsmans his father left him and he left me. We all had the same initials and my grandfather scratched his in just about every tool he ever had.

Good job on the install. I am probably gonna have to put my youngest in the rod locker to get the work done too!
