Oh yeah. Fished hard Saturday in the TOW tourney, got off the lake and loaded up and went to Memphis to bass pro to get me some rod holders and stuff.
Do yall find that the bandit chart is off a little? It's a good place to start for sure and it didn't take long to make some adjustments. 1.8 is all my boat will pull em but it will work for now.

you talking about off as in line out to depth ratio?
1.8 is plenty fast enough. I usually pull at 1.5 or so. Yesterday I was just catching one every now and then until I noticed on my depth finder that fish were holding at 10 ft. I switched from Bandit 300s to 200s and started catching more. I could also run the 200s farther behind the boat.

Yeah, it was close. Was pulling 300s so didn't have much line out, 55 feet should run 12 foot deep but woudn't get on the bottom until I came accross a point 10.5 feet deep (that's concidering my ducer was a foot in the water to start with). Not a big deal just figuring things out.

Rees, the type line being used and the position of the rod tip (how high is it off the water) can make a little difference in the depth of the bait also
Yeah I was using 10 pound mono and had the rods about 1.5 feet off the water.

It just seems logical to me that further behind the boat would be better just in case the boat was spooking the fish a little. On the other hand, Major won the FJ at Washington, I think, pulling cranks with less than 20 ft of line out.
