It ain't that I don't really like the Mercs, it's jus that I like the yammies. Mine has been through heck, high water and hardly no water and has hit most of the stumps in Columbus lake and it's still tickin. With service like that, I ain't gonna change. Plus the mercs are black. Don't want nuthin black on my boat cept the trollin motor and steerin wheel.

Welp minner I bought mine like Torch to get what I wanted and wound up with a bigger outboard and a Terrovoa TM, Heavy built trailer and saved $4000 over jest buyin the complete Triton package. I coulda put a Yamarhammer on there ifn I had wanted too. I aint never owned a yammie, but have owned a many a Merc and they have always been good trouble free motors fer me. Now me I had all my bad luck with Jojnson/Evinrude. Kinda like ford and chevy I reckon

It is a nice boat, as for me if it would have been an option I woulda had him get a honda since I work at a honda dealership but it wasnt an option and I just didnt want to get involved to much but just tried to make sure he didnt get took down the river and his boat is way nicer than my boat but I am really proud for him, myself and my wife worked hard to put him thru school and college so that he could have better than we did, so that make me proud for him for sure, and of course I feel like I can use it any time I want any way just gotta get him more into crappie fishing so I can help him rig it for crappie and not green carp
