Don't the Mercs nowdays have Yamaha power heads? thats what I have heard......I was told the smaller Mercs were Tohatsu power heads and the bigger ones like 50 and up had Yamaha power heads. Anybody know for sure?Quote:

Welp minner I bought mine like Torch to get what I wanted and wound up with a bigger outboard and a Terrovoa TM, Heavy built trailer and saved $4000 over jest buyin the complete Triton package. I coulda put a Yamarhammer on there ifn I had wanted too. I aint never owned a yammie, but have owned a many a Merc and they have always been good trouble free motors fer me. Now me I had all my bad luck with Jojnson/Evinrude. Kinda like ford and chevy I reckonQuote:
