Might even take it to Lake Fork, Tx or KY Lake.
Some would, but some ain't gonna wanna buy a license or permit. But this is also just a once a year deal. It could possibly be more like a camp than a tourney if that's what everybody wanted. Plus it would give the fJ folks a different fishing experience. River feshin is different than big water feshin.

Sounds like fun Minner. We could get MS Gewber and WA Gewber team shirts as well. Do they any JADA's over in AL? If so, we could have a three team shootout.

Do like Speck did, have the MS and AL decals put on tournament shirts.

Thats the truth, but hey a true fisherman is supposed to be able to adjust to the conditions and catch fish NO MATTER WHAT... I haven't quite figured out how to do that yet

    My thoughts on Wannabe's thoughts.

    1) Membership - No. I was going to fish Magnolia's Sardis tournament this summer until I figured out it would cost my wife and I $50 each for a membership plus the entry fee, just to fish one tournament.

    2) Committee - YES. It's the only way to go. When the need arises open a discussion like this one then have the committee vote. But I think how they voted should be posted on line.

    3) Tournaments - 8 + championship at nine different lakes. Just because there are lakes out there I haven't fished yet/

    4) Championship - 3 to qualify

    5) Camps - At every tournament. If you add two camps in addition to nine tournaments I think the attendence will suffer greatly. I think the committee should stay out of the camp planning. This is where a poll could come in handy. It could be as big or as small as the need dictated. People could participate or not. It might be a big cookout on Saturday afternoon or just a small group going to dinner on Friday night.

    6) Scheduling - Set our schedule and fish it. I don't want to see us cramming 3 tournaments in 6 weeks just because someone else is holding a tournament. March - November. Nine tournaments in nine months, somewhat evenly spaced.

    7) Saturdays - Tournaments are on Saturdays.

    8) Entry Fees - Are about right. But it sure would be nice to pay $500 to win. Five longbed twenty's aint nothing to sneeze at.

    Just my thoughts.

AR is awful smart to be as goofy looking as he is.

New rule: The payout will be $500 for 1st, minimum. If any shorfall arises from the tournament entry fees, we'll shake the ATM (ArToolMan) until enough Benjamins fall out of his pockets to make up for the difference.

Also agree....The FJ committee should stick to FJs and let somebody else ram-rod the Camps around them or with them as everybody sees fit.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

To add a little more thought, what about a year end big fish pot. $10.00 extra and must fish 4 tournaments to qualify. Biggest fish of the year takes the pot.

Just cause we are havin a FJ and a Camp doesnt mean that those that dont fish the FJ's arent welcome to come to camps! Anyone that wants to is welcome to join in at the camps.
