    Question Question - Gameplan for my Boat


    I intend to get a terrova and 2 new fish finders as soon as I can afford them. I'm wondering what order I should go about this. I'm kinda leaning towards getting one new FF first w/GPS, terrova, and then the final FF.

    Thoughts?

    When I do get a new FF, I need to buy the cheaper of the 2 first. Probably looking around the $600 range. I'll probably put this one on the console until I buy the second and move it to the bow.

    Thoughts?

    I'm not an electronic guru, so what FF in this price range would be best? HDS5? Elite5? HB788ci w/di? I have no idea.

    Assuming you have some sort of handheld GPS for speed, I'd get the troller first.

    Get the terrova 1st. Get it with i-pilot and you won't need a gps for speed since the i-pilot is gps.

    I was affraid that I might get these answers. It's been like Christmas around here. I was really wanting to open a shiny new FF.

    It will be months before I can save enough for the terrova

    Take the $600 you have for Df, sell the trolling motor that is on it now. Get a BPS credit card and buy the motor 10% off with the card. Sell a few pints of plasma...that should get ya close.

    Agree...Terrova/I-Pilot First. You could get by with a $79 Pirahna for a long time after that.
