Well boys and girls I heard from the insurance man and they are not going to total my motor. The rascals cut me a check for the repairs minus my deductible. Here's the deal, do I
1- spend 4400 on a motor that is worth around 4000 according to the retail book value
2- take the 4400 plus the 1000 I can sell mine for and put some kicker with it and buy a used one still in warranty for say 7500 to 10000
3- same as above but put about 8000-9000 with it and go new and get full warranty
Is this another poll? lol Before I could make the decision which by the way the first option would not be a option for me, I would have to know how old your boat is......if the boat is not real old go with the new motor....if its kinda getting old then go with the used one.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

boat is a 2000 model but is mechanically flawless, it has a few fishing scars from having rookies in my boat and fishing stumps, but that is it. My boat has always been in the shop and out of the weather unless I get caught on the lake in it.
