    The 255 is right and if he was veteran, they have benefit but in fathers case, the funeral home handled everything. I know they notify SS because I had to refund mothers SS and state retirement payments.

    I ain't counting on social security to be there for me when I punch out for the last time. No siree. That's why I've stashed all ya'lls tarp money in the corner of my office. Pffft.

    My Dad died on August 10. On August 13, da' feds dumped $255.00 into my Dad's savings account.

    The ssi is for mentally ill. It usually runs about $650.00 a month. Wb, you might qualify for that. Take your IQ, divide it in half and half again and you will make it or you could be a OM grad and qualify automatically.
