    Default A Few Glitter Cranks

I painted 15 cranks yesterday and added a little glitter to them before I top coated them. I just smeared a little Elmer's glue on the parts where I wanted the glitter to stick, then sprinkled it on. The glitter colors are silver, blue, red, and purple though the picture might not show it very well.

I got a querstion. Not bein an avid crankbait puller, I don't no much about this game. But why is the majority of the glitter on top? Don't the fesh bite from the bottom up? Jus wonderin. Most of the factory cranks I see are like this also. Reckon what would happen ifn the glitter was on the bottom and sides more? Jus curious.

You've got a good point Minner. The two cranks on the bottom in the pic have glitter on the bottom but that's the first time I've ever done it.

    Good looking Cranks..
Only thing I can think, is with bait fish their backs shine due to sunlight reflecting off their scales. Guessing their bellies dont shine due to no direct light.
I dunno. Just a thought as to why no glitter on belly usually. But im guessing any added flash would help.

    Glitter on the bottoms works.

Can't you just sprinkle the glitter on the wet paint.....then after the paint drys put your clear coat on?

That might just work G3, I'll try that next. Changing the subject a little, everybody always says a crappie feeds looking up, I would bet if he is in a feeding mood, he's gonna strike something at his depth. If so, then glitter on the top would be helpful, plus the fact that the crankbait is coming at him at about a 45 degree angle, he's gonna see the top of it. Just my opinion.
