Painting Cranks

Those look "store bought", good job. Why not paint the bills?

Very nice job on the cranks Scott. I think you have some great colors there. Just add water and the fish will bite :):).

Thanks all, it's a lot more to it than I thought. Diluting to the right consistency, keeping the tip clean, and stuff like that.

Major-I painted the bill on one of the black ones, but it's hard cause you don't have anything to hold on to. I might try a few though. I'd just have to do the bills after the rest of it dries.

I'll take a half dozen of the red/white ones!

I was thinking, lots of the old lures used to come in the red/white pattern like that. I figured they must have had a reason to paint them that way.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to paint a few in red/chartreuse, same type of pattern.

Scott....Just make you a wooden stand and Mount a alligator clip( like they use for wireig etc.) on the top of it sticking straight up.....then just clip the alligator clip to the front hook eye. Then you can paint away bill and all.
