Took an old friend today. Put in at Tommy's, went to the river just north of the channel, spider rigged very slowly, used straight minnows, minnow under a cork and jig with minnow. Only two keepers, w/cork and jig. Look for a bunch of boats Saturday.

Don't sound too good does it? Nobody is catching fish with cranks, jigs or minnows at Okatibbee right now.

There were a few folks catching some fish. Maybe your majic jigs will turn them on. There was one guy pulling cranks but didn't see him catch anything.

Yep with you being down yesterday Wayne and I went spider-rigging and had the worst day ever, we didn't even put 1 keeper in the boat. Hope you and I get a little more action in the morning as we try to learn a little something about long-lining.
