The best net for crappie is a EGO Reach Rubber net....but it is strictly a crappie net.....you will need a stronger heavier one for stripers.

Yall got any net recommendations? I got to buy one. Lost several big crappie over the summer and could not get those stripers in the boat last weekend. Caused me to loose one of those big rascals. I know I want a rubber net and a long handle. Besides that.. I don't know what is good nor bad... Thanks,
DoubleG

Ego is the net you want. I think you will want the Ego Reach. They are coming out with a couple new models that are suppose to be available in mid NOv. The new model will have a push button that will allow you to extend the handle rather than having to twist the handle to extend and lock it. If you call them they will put you on the mailing list and notify you when they are available. There is nothing wrong with the current model, I have used one for a long time. Here is a link to their site. Do not try to buy a totally rubber net for it. It is to heavy when the net is fully extended. IMHO!!

Ego Reach for crappie. Boat paddle for the trash fish.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
Put me on the Ego bandwagon but if you can wait until the new models come out then I think I would check them out first. If you pull cranks then you WANT the rubber net regardless of the extra weight.

Y'all sure are costing me a lot of money. G3 had told me about the EGO Reach before and then after reading this, I ordered one. LOL You can order straight from Adventure Products who makes them with free shipping. $42.99
They recommend 5 lbs max weight in them. The net I ordered only weighs 1.8 lbs. The totally rubber one I have now must weigh 5 lbs.
