Let us know when you find out some more on this Crappieman. Evidently they are keeping this very quiet as there is no info on this on the State website www.mdwfp.com

I found out that the State has a lease with the corps. The land that Cossar sits on is corp owned. The state sent a letter to the corps that they would not renew and the corps could have it back. After talking to my buddies at the corps they are going to close it because it would take too much money to bring it up to their standards. Its a sad situation and please contact your representative.

I wonder if this isn't typical politics. State cuts the money, agency heads announce cuts to ther services that will create the greatest outcry from the public, state restores funds. Happens a lot. This doesn't quite sound the same, but very well could be.

The cost would not be so high if they did not have all those Park Rangers riding around in new trucks harassing camper ever 10 minutes.
