    Default My weekend

Wife and I spent Saturday cleaning up the yard. Cleaned up and cut up some monstrous tree that was trying to grow INTO the house. Ended up with a 50 foot x 10 foot wide and 5 foot tall pile. Then it was to the back yard to slow cook some Ribs. YUMMMMM. With the rain we had forecast, they postponed the benefit for our friend with Cancer til Sunday, wished we'd have known ahead of time but then again with the Chocolate milk water I was getting told about at Butla, glad we couldn't come. Sunday, I hit the rez in search of Stripers busting Shad all over the place with the 3-5 MPH winds they forecast. UMMMM, Someone PLEASE smak the weatherman upside da head. Ask Bo and Brad about those light to nil winds. They stopped and talked to me for a few minutes as I was getting setup about 6:20 or so. Good seeing you guys again. Ended up with 1, 6 lb striper, 3 huge goos and 8, 11 to 13 1/2 inch. Had a great time at the benefit Sunday afternoon. Hunter Gibson and Larry Brewer were there playing and lots of great people there to help out a sweet lady

Default Anyonr got a good recipe

for fish on the half shell? I cut the filets off the Stipers and a couple of the bigger crappie, left the skin and scales on so I could put them on the grill. Was thinking about lemon juice, butter and thyme, then basting them as they grill

Don't think you want to do that with Stripers DD. That blood line is on the skin side you know. Prolly best with Bass or Crappie.

    But your ribs look FAB-U-LUS.

    Wannabe...

And this concludes the "be nice to DD" portion of our work week.
    Wannabe...v2.0
A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Default You can have the goos.

Caught one that had to go 4 pounds though, Sucker bout ripped the rod out of the rod holder. You can do it with Stripers WB. Least that's what Paul Johnson is always saying. That bloodline is just right down the middle of the filet and I'll cut it out prior to grilling. That striper pulled like all get out, caught it on a 12 foot trolling pole and a Zebco 33. Talk about fun til it started going side to side and snagged up 3 or 4 of my other out poles and tangled them all up. I marinated those ribs over night in Pineapple juice, talk about tender
