Ok Maj, interlink is in the way. Don't worry bout the greasin part, save that fer DD, just tell me what hickups or tricks there is to hookin it up. Mine should be here Thursday along with replacement ducer for front , which inadvertantly got broke off durin my last mission. I knowed better to try and go where I went, but I just had to go try it and now it cost me $58 and some change. But back to the real question. What's the troubles you had?

I didn't hook the interlink to the 998 right the first time. I plugged into the #1 plug because it looks the same and it fit. However the right way is to plug the "y" cord into the #5 (communications/gps) plug and then plug your gps in one end of the "y" and the interlink into the other. You probably wouldn't have made the mistake I made in the first place, but I couldn't figure out what to do with the "y" cord. The references I am making above are taken from page No 6 of the instructions CD. If you need any help, let me know.
