We could try to succeed again
Our secession was perfected the moment our state legislatures signed on it. It's that danged occupational government we got going on now that's ruining our freedom. We needed two things in the 1860s: factories and railroads. We got them now. We might need to "remind" the Washington government that we DID secede.

As a 23 year-old in graduate school, I can speak for many when I say that we have not worked this hard to achieve our goals in life only for the democrats to try and take it all away from us. I know many of you feel the same way, you have worked very hard all of your lives to be able to take care of yourselves and your family, pay for your own health care expenses and feel a sense of pride not entitlement. They are attempting to remove any type of incentive for the American people to work hard and try to become high achievers. Soon the income tax rate will rise substantially for those in the highest income brackets. Many of the brightest in our society will chose not to enroll in professional school for the fear of having to pay back enormous loans while the federal government tries to take away everything we have worked for in the process by taxing us excessively. What I can tell all of you, is that there are many young Republicans like myself who will continue to oppose the Democrats' far-left agenda, its socialistic policies, its immoral unethical and destructive policies on social issues and its sheer arrogance in thinking that the federal government and Barack Obama can solve everyone's problems. I have just been elected President of the Student Health Law Association at Ole Miss and you can be sure that we will be bringing speakers to come and discredit the new legislation and debate the so-called "positive effects" it will bring about. My ultimate goal is to enter the political arena and stand up for the kinds of principles that everyday hard-working Americans believe in. For now, we must wait anxiously for the 2010 and 2012 elections and please support the Republican candidates in any way you can whether they are running for a local, state or national office. We need all of the help we can get to take this country back and set the United States back on a path to prosperity and liberty.

Noticed a poll on MSN with about 430,000 votes-----64% are angry over this vote. And this is a pretty liberal site.

Yeah, the republicans are great. Have you people forgotten what a mess
Dubya got us into? Or do you just choose to ignore that and beat up on the dems? I'm independant and don't care for either party, but lets keep the facts straight. Neither party is "for us". that is obvious.

everything he tried to do got kicked out by the dems. Can't blame him for anything cause the Dems blocked him at every pass
